An avid traveler since birth, Kamala Kirk's earliest memories are of flying on airplanes from one destination to the next as she moved around the world with her parents. She was born in South Korea, grew up throughout Asia, and studied Mandarin at the University of Southern California where she majored in Communication & Journalism. One of her favorite things to do in a foreign country is to take a random bus and ride it to the last stop, then get off an explore.

Some of Kamala's favorite travel memories include drinking fresh coconuts on Oahu's North Shore, strolling the lush grounds of the Jim Thompson House in Bangkok, and shopping on Singapore's famous Orchard Road. She is obsessed with pineapples, collects Buddhas, and literally owns everything from the gift shop at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki.
